Hi, I’m Kelli Schoonover. I have over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, first as a preschool teacher, then as a director and regional director over several daycares here in Chicago.

In 2018 I came home and gave my family the pitch of a lifetime: I wanted to fulfill my dream of opening my own daycare, right here in the city I love the most. I have a passion for early childhood education, and I’m excited to share it with you.

Schooner Learning Academy opened in 2020 with three goals: instruction that encourages both learning and compassion in kids, reliable care for working families on a realistic schedule, and a community that supports everyone: children, parents and teachers.
